- Click the Start button.
- From the Start menu, point to Settings and choose Control Panel.
- Double-click the Network icon.
- In the window under The following network components are installed,
there should be only three network components:
Pay special attention to Client for Microsoft Networks, since this
allows the password to be saved.
Add and remove network components as needed.
Click the OK button.
When you see Do you want to restart your computer now, click Yes.
Wait for the computer to reboot.
Once Windows 95 restarts, you may be prompted for a login name and
password.
Enter a name but do not enter a password.
Click the OK button.
If you are prompted to confirm the new password, click OK.
Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.
Double-click the Dial-Up Networking icon.
Double-click the sitestar.net icon.
Enter your username and password.
If the Save password option is now available, click it now and you
are finished.
If the Save password is still not available, click on the Cancel
button.
Minimize the Dial-Up Networking window.
Double-click the Passwords icon in the Control Panel window.
Click the User Profiles tab.
Click Users can customize their preferences and desktop settings.
Click the OK button.
Click Yes to let the computer restart.
Wait for the computer to reboot.
Once Windows 95 restarts, you may be prompted for a login name and
password. Do not enter a password.
Enter a login name but not a password.
Click the OK button.
If you are prompted to confirm the new password, click OK.
Double-click on My Computer.
Double-click on Dial-Up Networking.
Double-click on the sitestar.net icon.
Enter your username and password.
If the Save Password option is now available, click it now and you
are finished.
