Modem Not Responding #3
The modem type specified in the Modems control panel may not match the modem specified in the Dial-up Networking connection. Check to ensure that it does:


  1. Double-click the My Computer icon.

  2. Double-click the Dial-Up Networking folder.

  3. Right-click the sitestar.net icon.
  4. From the menu that appears, choose Properties.
  5. From the Connect Using list, choose your modem.
